This website
The website sets no cookies and uses no advertising or tracking services. To see how the site is used, we count page views and clicks on the phone number, the email address and the booking button. The counter keeps daily totals only, uses no cookies and stores no IP address or other identifier.
Cloudflare hosts the website. Like any web server, it processes technical data such as your IP address to deliver the pages securely.
Dates and bookings
When you pick dates in the calendar, the dates and the number of guests are sent to our booking system, Lodgify, to show availability and the price. No name or contact details are sent at that point.
When you book, you enter your details and payment in the Lodgify checkout. Lodgify processes them on our behalf so we can handle your booking, payment and stay. We keep booking records for as long as Icelandic accounting law requires.
Email and phone
If you email or call us, we use what you tell us to answer you and to arrange your stay, and keep it no longer than that needs. Email is delivered through Google.
Why we may use it
We use your data to take the steps you ask for before a booking, to carry out the booking, and to meet legal duties such as bookkeeping.
Your rights
You can ask to see the data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to its use, and to receive it in a portable form. Email us and we will reply within one month. You can also complain to Persónuvernd, the Icelandic Data Protection Authority.
